Mechanical Cleaning includes technologies such as abrasive blasting, dry ice and waterjet cleaning. Blasting involves shooting various types of media (grit) at a high velocity onto the part surface, knocking off surface soils. Blasting can be performed with a variety of media including plastic pellets, baking soda (bicarbonate), frozen CO2 (dry ice), and more.
