The Spectroline OPK-340 industrial leak detection kit from Spectronics is designed to identify the source of fluid leaks in hydraulic equipment, compressors, engines, gearboxes, fuel systems and water-based systems.
The kit features a cordless, rechargeable Optimax 3000 blue light LED leak-detection flashlight with an inspection range of up to 20 feet (6.1 m). It also includes Oil-Glo 44 concentrated fluorescent oil dye, which is compatible with synthetic- and petroleum-based fluids, and WD-802 concentrated fluorescent water dye, which is suited for water-based systems. When a leaking industrial system is scanned with the flashlight, both dyes will glow brightly, revealing the source of leaks, the company says. The kit also includes Glo-Away dye cleaner, AC and DC chargers, and fluorescence-enhancing glasses.
